6 people recovering ever police say construction company hospital. they had to evacuate a building on walden circle near vineland after a gas leak. kimberly eiten reports the people who live there have not we just watched firefighters and paramedics -- >> reporter: we just watched firefighters and paramedics go back into this yellow building behind us they evacuated it hours ago after a gas leak neighbors tell us they were supposed to stay out of the building for 12 hours because of the gas leak sn 6 people to the hospital including a family of 4 . they will be okay but doctors say they had carbon monoxide poisoning after breathing fumes inside the building off conroy and violent fit we are told the hospital called and alerted firefighters

going on 43 days since the homeless began together outside of a volusia county government building. channel 9 blaine tomlinson live in daytona beach. we mentioned about 100 people are camped out this afternoon. >> reporter: i was told by the city that a plan for some temporary shelter is in the works, but there has been no specific physical progress toward something like that or specific details about that plan. so things have not changed out here. 108 people we counted last night huddled under the overhang at the county services building number 250 n. beach street. from the city, county, really more planning a meeting behind the scenes with nothing concrete on the table. it would be a tall order to move these more than 100 homeless to some kind of temporary shelter by the end of the week as the city said it wanted to do. you can see they are here with blankets and pillows and planned process by homeless advocate of the speed 8 -- speedway for the rolex 24 race he canceled because he said he was promised by the city 100 beds for the homeless and if
